I loved working on this story. Being so open and free to choose whichever story we wanted was both a blessing and a curse. Often times the team where aimless, focusing on all the wrong things. Looking back we have come a long way in regards to story line, all the stressful and confusing moments now seem worth it after we have gotten to this point. And although it didn’t reach a place were it was perfect in my eyes, it is still an achievement for me to have gotten as far as I did with it.

Things I would’ve changed if I could:

-All the ocean shots would be simulated if I had more time. Only one simulation made it into the film, which is disappointing giving the amount of effort I put into some simulations which just didn’t make it through my fault of not knowing the Realflow well enough yet.

-I would have spent more time on character design and sculpture. The eyes of the character make him look very young, along with his head size make him look almost baby-like. With some scenes I felt he literally didn’t fit into them well.

-House Exterior Textures. The house textures seen in the film were not meant to be the finished version, time restrictions and other factors played into them becoming the final outcome.

-I would have wanted to have the time to create a colour key of shots in order to know the colour palette of our film a bit better and I think the final renders would have also been more consistent if this were to have happened.

-I would have also liked to have sound in our final year film, but unfortunately time didn’t allow for that.

So in conclusion, there is evidently a lot I would change about this project, but I am still proud of its outcome.
